Monday Manic Roundup * And We Have A Winner, Folks!
It's Monday. Already. Where did the weekend go? I'm on vacation today from the day job and I'm current 30,000ft over South Dakota (I think). The Hubbs and I are headed home after a great weekend in Colorado. I got to see my current favorite musician, Patty Griffin, FROM THE FIRST ROW of a beautiful auditorium in Beaver Creek, as well as two other acts that I love. All in the same day, at a festival (thanks, Rendezvous Music Festival!) with less than 500 people and gorgeous weather in a unbelievably beautiful setting. To say that Saturday was a big day/night for me would be an understatement.
BUT - Sunday was an even bigger day. Why, you ask? One because we got to celebrate with The Hubbs' sister and bro-in-law as they marked 26 years of marriage, sitting out on their patio last night having dinner with their son and nephew.
And two, because it was the close of my first giveaway contest and we got to pick the winner! I had originally thought I'd have one of the bonus daughters pick the winner out of a hat, but forgot they wouldn't be with us, so instead, the task fell to The Hubbs. So, without further a-do - Krista OByrne, you are our big winner! Krista, I'll reach out to you via the comments on the giveaway post, but if you see this before I get to you, feel free to email me with your details. You can find my email address listed in the "You Wanna Advertise" tab here on the blog.
In other news, here's some cool stuff I learned about since last Monday:
You Can Make Totally Cool Stuff From Used Plastic Bottles
Who knew plastic bottles could be so pretty? This site aggregated a bunch of crafty projects where people used plastic bottles (or in one case, bottle caps) to make gorgeous stuff. Someone please make me one of the bottle bottom chandeliers like the one in the picture above!
Proof That Salt Water Can Cure Anything
I've long be an advocate of a good tub soak (even more so now that I'm convinced I'm going to win HGTV's Urban Oasis contest and get to soak in that amazing master bath tub). And the proverb about salt water has been a long favorite of mine. But I ran across this article this week that talks about the benefits of an Epsom salt soak. So here you go.
Kittens Are Hysterical To Watch When They Get Freaked Out By Lizards
And because I haven't been able to stop watching this ALL weekend (seriously, I'm up to like 100 times) I thought I'd share this kitten that freaks out over a couple of lizards video. I laugh EVERY time. Every. Time. The Hubbs even laughed. Happy Monday and you're welcome.
